Kathy Perez

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Kathy has called Illinois home for the past four years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University in 2021 and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in 2022.

Kathy is a Licensed Social Worker with experience in schools, community-based programs, and program coordination. She especially enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults, particularly those ages 10–19. She understands that growing up and navigating life’s changes can bring challenges, and she values being someone clients can turn to during those times.

Kathy works with clients experiencing anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, family challenges, school stress, and other life changes. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into her practice while continuing to grow her knowledge and explore additional approaches to best support each client.

As a proud Latina and bilingual Spanish speaker, Kathy values creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and expressing themselves in the language they feel most at ease using. Her approach is holistic and person-centered, focusing on each client’s individual experiences, strengths, and needs. Kathy strives to help each client feel understood and supported while building confidence, developing healthy coping skills, and working toward meaningful change.
