Kelly Olenski is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois. Kelly graduated from
Loyola University Chicago with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Peace Studies and her
Master’s Degree in Social Work. Kelly has a wide range of experience working with children,
adolescents, adults, and families in community, outpatient, hospital, residential, crisis, outdoor, and
integrative healthcare settings. She has experience supporting individuals and families struggling with
anxiety, depression, mood disorders, severe & persistent mental illness, developmental disorders,
trauma, substance use, self-injury, and eating disorders. Kelly has training and experience in a variety
of therapeutic orientations including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed therapy.
Kelly strives to meet individuals where they are to support them in growing, uncovering their authentic
selves, and living lives worth living. Kelly particularly enjoys working with young adults and those
struggling with life transitions, identity, self-esteem, body image, overwhelming emotions, and difficult
behaviors. Kelly primarily uses DBT and ACT in therapy.
In addition to her work with Oswego Wellness, Kelly also serves as a Case Therapist with
Northwestern Medicine's Ben Gordon Center. Kelly has previously worked with other renowned
organizations such as Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, Thresholds, American Red Cross of Greater
Chicago, Jumpstart for Young Children, Loyola University Chicago, and Little Friends.
