Amanda Comer

Amanda Comer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. She obtained her Bachelors Degree and Masters degree in social work from Aurora University. Amanda has worked in the field of social work since 2014 in hospital based mental health, community mental heath, crisis intervention, and outpatient services.

Most recently, Amanda had the privilege of working at Morris Hospital OBGYN clinic, working exclusively with women experiencing peri-natal mood disorders, grief and loss, infertility, and parenting. She also has experience in working with individuals throughout the life span who presented with anxiety, depression, medical issues, life transitions, stress, grief and loss, among others.

Amanda believes in providing a safe and non-judgmental environment, where there is mutual trust and respect built between therapist and client- and where a sense of humor is always welcome! She uses evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), problem-solving treatment (PST), Mindfulness, and others to help clients achieve their goals. She also believes in exploring in the strong connection between mind and body to promote overall wellness.
